Tabatha Bennett, a born and raised New Mexican, is passionate about improving the health and wellness of her community. A daily yoga practice has helped Tabatha cultivate physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. She credits yoga as a healing resource for her perfectionism, depression and insecurity and recognizes that this vital self-care tool should be accessible to her community. Tabatha completed her 200 hour teacher training at 3B Yoga, an Ashtanga studio in Albuquerque, NM and has also participated in the Seattle based Street Yoga: Trauma-Informed Yoga teacher training. She welcomed her son, Felix, at Dar a Luz in 2016. Yoga practice was key to achieving a safe and un-medicated water birth and continually provides a way to bond with her son and other mothers.
